The timber
Acacia grows across the Philippine lowlands and carries its history in its grain: deep golden browns running into darker heartwood, often with sweeping figure through a single board. It is dense and notably hard-wearing, resisting the dents and scratches a living set collects over the years. No two boards match, which means no two sets do either.
